We were satisfied with all aspects of the JRPass. Especially when the card didnt work about half way through our trip. We went to a JR office in Kyoto and they replaced it, no problem.
Would recommend the JR Pass
Very smooth and excellent service.
The service was fine, but the new "ticket style" pass concerned me. This was my seventh trip, all using JR passes. The ticket style is so small! So easy to lose, but impossible to replace! The older "greeting card" size felt more secure (especially for a senior citizen).

I took additional precautions and never lost my 21 day pass, but I probably got in the way of other travelers with my extra efforts. It also worried me no end.
Honestly 100% worth the money. Made travelling around so much easier and everyone we spoke too when reserving tickets or if we needed help was very kind and helpful.
Getting the JR Pass made travelling through Japan easy and comfortable. Because of the distances we traveled, it was a bargain as well. Highly recommend it!
I was very satisfied with the ordering procedure, finding the right line to queue up in at JR Tokyo Station was very challenging but once I got the pass it was easy to purchase tickets at other locations.
It was easy to book and easy to use. I had to wait a long time, nearly an hour, in the queue at tokyo station to get it, though.
I recommend the JR Pass. Used in tandem with their recommended phone app for train times and platforms, it made travel from Utsunomiya to Kyoto and several places in between much easier.

The only drawback was that none of the self-serve kiosks seemed to work with it to reserve seats on the shinkansen, always returning a message that sent me in line to speak with a person instead. Those counters had signs indicating that they would only reserve seats for that day, while all the literature with the JR Pass advises you to reserve days in advance when possible. There was never a problem getting a reserved seat, but I wonder at the conflicting directions.

I was satisfied overall and would recommend the service to others.
awesome package, clear instructions. Everything worked great!
